Builder's ADHD

Isn’t it annoying to wake up with a new idea every day and not do anything about it?

It’s so fkn frustrating, man.

You feel like there’s so much creativity flowing through you,
but you don’t have a container for it.

I go through this every damn day.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with a few things in life.
Change places, change routines, change the flow of work.
It doesn’t stop there, I’ve even played around with my diet.

The whole reason for doing this was to get my creative juices flowing.

And that’s where I messed up.

Once you hear this, you’ll probably go, “Chaitanya a.k.a Chay… what a dumb fuck,”

I’m always high on creative ideas.
So many of them are sitting in my notebooks.
If you ask me how many I’ve built?

Just a few.

That’s the thing, when you build your lifestyle to support just creativity,
you ignore the part where you actually have to turn that creativity into something usable.

I don’t blame my routine, it did what it was built for.
It let me be creative.
But I was expecting execution from a system that only delivered inspiration.

You’re highly creative when your mind is stimulated.
And with all the changes I made - environment, routine.
I built myself into a state of permanent stimulation.

It worked.
Ideas flowed like crazy — left, right, center.

And it’s not just about physical setting.

This happens every time you open a new tab, check your phone, or scroll aimlessly.
The second you lose track of your current state, something else hijacks your mind.

I’ve been building products for 6 years.
Especially as a founder, this is such a common trap.

This isn’t clinical, but Builder’s ADHD or Builder’s Trap.

And I’ve lived it long enough to know most people are drowning in it.

Now I’m working on something that helps me go deep on one thing
until the data says it’s time to shift.

I’d love to know how you manage this.

What keeps you from spiraling?

If you're stuck in it too,
I’d love to build this with you, for you.

Let’s stop chasing ideas.
Let’s start finishing.

Until Tomorrow,
Chay
