The right way to build your product

Most people build products backward.

They get excited about an idea.
Mock it up.
Code it.
Launch it.

And then, it flops.

Why?

Because they skipped the most important step:
Mapping real-life friction.

Today, I helped scope an app for a fitness creator with 100+ coaching clients.
Before we touched design or tech, we mapped exactly how his clients behave today:

  • What’s their daily workflow?

  • Where’s the friction?

  • What are they already hacking?

  • What decisions are they struggling with?

That’s the foundation.

If you don’t understand the pain, your solution is noise.
If you scope blindly, you’ll end up building a feature farm no one uses.

This isn’t just for products.
It applies to services, tools, courses, or anything.

So next time you get an idea, ask:

  • How do people solve this today?

  • What sucks most about it?

  • What would they pay to make it easier?

Skip this, and you’re gambling.
Start here, and you’re building something people need.
